I thought this was a cool activity, the process of merging the two items together was pretty easy and the process of getting the animation was simple too, I had a problem because I rescaled the road and I didn't realize I had to rescale the path that the car goes on.
It was cool to mess around with the way the car turns and the speeds, I decided to go with a more even turn and I think it looks smooth.

During the creation and animation of these items, I originally made the mushroom but I didn't know I would need to import it into a field and merge it with the other items so I had to remake the mushroom but I think I did better the 2nd time. The flower was difficult to understand because there was so many different little things and all the new items confused me but I was able to learn more about everything just took me a while. The ship was a cool part, I had some difficulties trying to make the wings look cooler but I'm fine with the way it came out. I learned more about the vertex tool and everything I can do with it. Overall it was fun animating the image and making the field, this project really helped me figure out more about the smaller things like the polygon tool and the vertex items.
While making my tank I didn't have many problems, I thought it was cool working with the different shapes and It gives me an idea of even more things I can create in 3ds. The part I struggled on was one of the last parts where I had to figure out how to make the gun part of it since for some reason it would not go to the length I wanted and also it was extending the wrong part but I figured out how to fix it, other than that it was a cool project and I'm excited to learn more about this software.
After completing the basic modeling assignment I have learned multiple ways that can lead to an error in the project, for example I couldn't tell how to do everything with the screwdriver which is why it looks different, I didn't know how to make it look the same where it doesn't look like molded together. Another thing I had trouble was when I made the nut and bolt it wasn't making the hole inside the square, I made the bolt thing 3 times but during the 3rd time I payed a lot more attention to the tutorial and I learned that I had been doing the deleting part wrong and I made it correctly. I had a little trouble making the wine glass, I also was not sure what way to render it but I think I got it right. Overall it was a lot more difficult than when I first started but It's really cool learning all the parts in 3d modeling and after seeing all the different shapes and things we are barely even scraping the surface.
![]() During this activity I learned how to place objects in specific areas by using coordinates, during the beginning I was confused on the rotation of the x and y but I saw quickly that you had to go to the rotation axis and then it changed to the rotation coordinates.
Another problem I had was the pyramids were not changing into the right sizes and points but I eventually figured that out. After completing this project Ive learned a lot more on how to use the different parts of 3Ds and I really like working with the software. While designing my snowman it was cool pressing different buttons and finding out what they each did, It was nice to experiment with different things while learning how to use 3DS max.
Only problems I had was during the rendering process, I figured out how to get different angles of each one but I didn't fully understand what the perspective render meant. Other than that it was cool trying to use a 3D designer, I had used blender before but I didn't know how to use a single thing in it so this project helped me learn a lot. During this project I was able to learn more about the use of different shapes in different scenarios, for example emphasis with the color was cool to make trying to emphasize the colors that I was using, also it was different trying to make texture from squares in the balance part but I don't think I did great at it.
Overall I learned a few new things and how to make different textures and shapes and had a good time doing this assignment. During the creation of my mystery image I thought it would an easy idea to do something from Minecraft since its already in blocks and would be easy to plot, during the process it was hard to keep track of where each coordinate was and it took lots of time recounting where all the points were since I kept forgetting. I had fun during the first stage where I was making the outline of Steve but shortly after that It became harder to plot the smaller details.
I knew what I was making when I made the outline but I didn't fully know what the character was from but I thought It was Frieza from dragon ball z, I think if it was Frieza then it should have had more detail since it doesn't fully look like it but if its not it would make sense. |
